arrow You’ll get results ranked in clusters of most relevant information.
arrow Unlike many search engines, these results are retrieved in real time, so it could take a minute.
arrow progress bar Our progress bar will time out in 30 seconds. This means that if a particular database is running slowly, you may not get all the results from that database during that search session.

arrow Maybe you'd rather see your results listed according to the Federal Agency that sponsored the research. Select Results by Source
arrow Now you can home in on your area of interest.

Search Tips

While the target databases may employ different search options, the following search tips are generally true:

arrow The search engine is not case sensitive (for example, RAIN, Rain, and rain will produce the same results).
arrow Single word or word phrases may be submitted in the query box.
arrow If a phrase is entered, the “And” operator is assumed.
arrow The “Or” operator is recognized and will work regardless of "case".
arrow The wildcard character * (asterisk) may be used to match the word stem. Full-text searching is available when supported by the agency's database.

Search Examples

arrow photons and colliders
arrow photons or electrons
arrow linear colliders
arrow comput*

You may specify how many items you wish to have displayed from each database, up to 250.

QuickRank features

arrow Our special QuickRank formula filters results, sending you the most relevant returns.
arrow This means that the number of QuickRank returns may differ from the number of raw returns from the individual agencies, which aren't filtered by QuickRank.
arrow Our filter is based on placement of key words: If your key word is not in a prime location in the document, likely the result won't be returned.
arrow Your results will contain top tier databases in terms of relevancy. But you can visit the agency for further investigation.
arrow If your search only returns three (3) or fewer results, we'll send you directly to our display by agency.
