In 2001, the NICHD, through its Child Development and Behavior Branch, the National Institute for Literacy, and the U.S. Department of Education formed the Partnership for Reading, a collaborative effort to distribute evidence-based reading research information, including the findings of the National Reading Panel, to those who can benefit the most from it.
