The curriculum is a comprehensive, evidence-based generic PMTCT training course that was field tested in Guyana, Ethiopia, Cambodia and Mozambique. It is intended to be adapted to include the policies, guidelines and reality of the specific country setting. The components of the generic curriculum are as follows:
