Kristine Witt, M.Sc., is a toxicologist in the Toxicology Branch of the National Toxicology Program. Witt manages the genetic toxicology testing contracts of the National Toxicology Program (NTP) and provides genetic toxicology test data review and evaluation for inclusion in the NTP Technical Reports. She is also involved in assay selection and study design for the NTP’s High Throughput Screening initiative, and she assists the NTP’s Center for the Evaluation of Risks for Human Reproduction by providing background information on exposures that carry potential reproductive risks.

In addition to her work for the NTP, Witt is a clinical investigator who manages NIEHS research studies on cytogenetic endpoints in study populations exposed to medications with known or suspected genetic toxicity, with an emphasis on exposure risks to children.  She has an extensive background both in clinical cytogenetics and genetic toxicology, and has presented numerous presentations at national meetings and workshops. Witt received a B.Sc. in zoology from Ohio State University and an M.Sc. in genetics from Ohio State University.
