The Workers' Compensation Division is the administrative arm
of the Workers' Compensation Board. Its basic purpose is to ensure
that Alaska workers who suffer injury or disease from their employment
receive medical care and cash wage benefits during disablement through
their employers or their employers' insurance companies. The board
schedules cases for hearing and issues orders, including formal
board decisions.
