Employee Satisfaction Surveys

Annual Employee Survey

All Federal agencies are required to annually survey their employees to measure employee satisfaction and Agency performance. The information provided by the survey helps the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) identify and improve programs and processes that are important to employees, as well as assess the effectiveness of its leadership and management practices.

Federal Human Capital Survey

The Federal Human Capital Survey (FHCS) is a tool administered by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to measure employees' perceptions of whether, and to what extent, conditions characterizing successful organizations are present in their agencies. The survey results provide valuable insight into the challenges agency leaders face in ensuring the Federal Government has an effective civilian workforce. NRC will use the survey results to examine management practices and improve the work environment for NRC employees.

Based on the 2006 Federal Human Capital Survey Results PDF Icon, the NRC was ranked #1 in the Best Places to Work in the Federal Government exit icon.
