Scientific Computing Lab

Core Facilities

The Scientific Computing Lab (SCL) is a team of IT professionals dedicated to the Division of Intramural Research scientific and administrative staff to coordinate IT services, provide centrally available resources at the division level, resolve technical issues or identify alternatives in technical support of the overall mission of the division and the Institute.

Our services include IT policy and planning with the Office of the Scientific Director; advocacy at the Institute level for DIR's priorities; manage and direct the contract IT support staff; provide a comprehensive range of computing platform skills on PC/Windows, Mac and UNIX/Linux; offer extensive Computer Training program including both IT and a scientific application instruction; Science Task coordination for specific lab requirements; division Web support and a variety of other technical and IT resource management assistance.

The SCL has served the Division of Intramural Research with technical expertise and vision since 1990 and is fully committed to continuing our best efforts in IT service and support to all of the staff of our division.
