Journal Description:

Functional Ecology publishes short, original, papers that cover a wide range of ecological topics, emphasizing the physiological, biophysical, reproductive and evolutionary ecology of terrestrial and aquatic animals, plants and micro-organisms. Experimental, observational and theoretical papers are published, especially those that span several of these fields and which test specific hypotheses. The journal publishes standard papers, essay reviews, forum articles, and technical reports. The journal is published six times a year.
