Brief Description:
The revised Application for a Ruth L. Kirschstein Individual National Research Service Award (PHS 416-1) and Progress Report
for Continuation Support (PHS 416-9) are now available and may be used by applicants. For the November 15 and December 5,
2002 application receipt dates, both the previous versions (Rev. 12/98) and the new versions (Rev. 6/02) will be accepted.
Individuals who have initiated their applications using the 12/98 forms are encouraged to continue with this form rather than
moving to the new version. For the April 2003 application receipt date and beyond, use of the new version (Rev. 6/02) is
required.
