Beer, wine, and liquor have a drug in them called alcohol. Alcohol can hurt your liver, heart, and . It can make you sick or even kill you.
Kids say, "Everyone drinks," to try to get you to drink alcohol, too. The is that most kids do not drink.
People drink to change the way they feel. Find a healthy, safe way to feel good like reading, , playing sports, or talking to an adult if something is troubling you.
Children and teenagers become addicted to alcohol quicker than adults because their bodies are growing and changing. When people are they feel they need alcohol (or other drugs), and they need help to stop.
People drink to feel cool and fit in with the crowd. But alcohol can make people do things and make bad choices.
Even parents can have problems with alcohol; they may drink too much and become mean. They may hit other people in the family. If this happens kids should talk to other (a teacher, an aunt or uncle, a law enforcement officer, or an elder) who can help.
