- Oral-Maxillofacial Surgeon, Division of Intramural Research
This position is located in the Division of Intramural Research (DIR), NIDCR. Under the direction and supervision of the NIDCR Clinical Director, the candidate will participate in dental patient care and consult programs at NIH by providing clinical protocol-driven and consultative oral diagnosis, oral medicine and oral/maxillofacial surgical care to NIH clinic and inpatients patients. Duties include management of dental/oral surgical emergencies and providing “on call” services for the NIDCR Dental Clinic and Consult services.
The candidate will mentor NIDCR Clinical Fellows in oral medicine, oral pathology and oral surgery and supervise Clinical Fellows participating in appropriate surgical procedures; collaborate in research protocols with investigators both within the NIDCR and in other institutes; have an option to participate in independent clinical research studies in the areas of his/her own interest and contribute in the development of research initiatives within the Clinical Fellowship program.
