President Nominates Terry L. Cline

President Bush has nominated Terry L. Cline, of Oklahoma, to be SAMHSA Administrator. Dr. Cline currently serves as the Oklahoma Secretary of Health and Commissioner of the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Prior to this, he served as a Health Care Policy Fellow at SAMHSA. Earlier in his career, he served as Clinical Director of the Cambridge Youth Guidance Center.

Dr. Cline received his bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma. He received his master's degree and Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. End of Article

Special note: On December 11, 2006, the United States Senate confirmed the nomination of Terry L. Cline as SAMHSA Administrator.
