Subject: Travel Authorizations
The purpose of this Financial Administration Memorandum (FAM) is to transmit the
attached Assistant Secretary - Policy, Management and Budget memorandum of
September 27, 2002. This memorandum reminds travel authorizing officials,
approving officials and travelers that trip-by-trip travel authorizations are
required for conference attendance, international travel, donated travel,
training travel, and travel by volunteers.
Each section of 347 DM DOI FTR Implementing Instructions will be reviewed and
updated, where necessary, to ensure this policy is clearly stated in each
section.
