The Fast Response Cutter (FRC) will be able to deploy independently to conduct the service’s missions, such as ports, waterways and coastal security, fishery patrols, drug and illegal migrant law enforcement, search and rescue, and national-defense operations.
Features
- Enhance Coast Guard response time with a minimum top speed 28 knots
- Conduct all missions through Sea State 4 at speeds up to transit speed for 8 hours on all headings.
- Survive through Sea State 6 at speeds up to loiter speed for 8 hours on all headings.
- Armed with a stabilized 25mm machine gun mount and four non-stabilized, crew-served, .50 caliber machine guns.
