Device Loan

California statewide AT program provides short-term loans of AT devices to Californian individuals or entities. The purpose of the loan may be to assist in decision making, to serve as a loaner while the consumer is waiting for device repair or funding, to provide an accommodation on a short-term basis, or for other purposes. “Other” purposes include: (1) self-education by a consumer for the purpose of later decision making (e.g. when the school year begins); (2) self-education by an intermediary (e.g. a teacher) whose purpose is to become familiar with the device; and (3) training.
