Telecommunications Management develops and disseminates Departmental telecommunications management principles, standards, policies, processes and procedures;

reviews, trains and advises agencies to promote adherence to Departmental telecommunications principles, strategic direction, standards, policies, processes and procedures;

designs, implements and revises systems, processes, work methods and techniques to improve the management of telecommunications and the operational effectiveness of USDA;

engages agencies and staff offices in the development of evolving strategies, goals, objectives and performance measurements for improving the management of telecommunications; and

keeps USDA executive management and federal oversight bodies informed of USDA progress against strategies, goals, objectives and performance measurements.
