During 2006, the "New Century Snapshot" articles
were very popular and well received by the media. As a result, we will
continue to highlight different aspects of the Chequamegon-Nicolet in
2007. This year's series will continue to take off from the 2005 Forest
Service centennial articles called "Centennial Snapshot" in
which we celebrated 100 years of the Forest Service, national forest history
and restoring the national forest lands.
