Key Comparisons are international inter-laboratory studies used to
establish degrees of equivalence between national measurement
standards. Twenty-seven Key Comparisons in a wide range of
metrological areas have been completed, with results posted in the
International Comparisons Database (ICDB). The design, the analysis,
and other statistical issues relating to these twenty seven Key
Comparisons will be discussed. This will be followed by an example
of a supplementary comparison that was executed with NIST as a
pilot lab.
