The National Fair Housing Training Academy (NFHTA) is the educational arm of the epartment of Housing and Urban Development's Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO). The concept of the Academy was approved by Congress in FY2004, when funds were provided through the Fair Housing Assistance Program (FHAP) for the initial formation and coordination of activities necessary to establish the Academy. The curriculum, site, and faculty have been identified in collaboration with FHEO, FHAP leaders, The USDA Graduate School and the District of Columbia Office of Human Rights, our Academy partners.
