Posting and Link Policy

The National Nanotechnology Initiative Web site provides information on theoretical and experimental studies by academia and industry, as well as on applications and products, state and regional commercialization activities, available educational resources, and other resources related to the aforementioned areas. The National Nanotechnology Coordination Office (NNCO) is solely responsible for all decisions regarding content on the National Nanotechnology Initiative Web site.

Links are created to provide additional information that may be useful or interesting and is consistent with the intended purpose of the Nano.gov Web site. Decisions to include links or reference information from entities other than the NNI will be made taking into consideration the accuracy of the information and the ability to verify the information through other sources, the information’s relevance to the goals of the NNI, and the reputation and reliability of the source of information, among other factors.

In the case of publications, reputable publications reporting in the field of nanotechnology may be linked from the NNI Web site. However, where no relevant online content is provided by a publication, no links will be made from the NNI website.

While every effort is made to evaluate and verify information on sites to which the NNI Web site links, the NNI is not responsible for information posted on sites to which it links. Providing links to a non-NNI Web site does not constitute an endorsement by the NNI, the NNCO or any of its employees of the sponsors of the site or the information or products presented on the site.
