Circular Letter No. 616
June 9, 2006
TO: Printing/Publishing Officials and Web Representatives of the Federal Government
SUBJECT: Rider Requisitions for the Research-Based Web Design and Usability Guidelines
The U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) is now accepting Rider Orders for the updated U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and U.S. General Services Administration publication, Research-Based Web Design and Usability Guidelines. This 294 page book will be printed in color and is expected to be available in July 2006—see page two of this notice for a more detailed description about the book.
Please forward this notice to colleagues at your Agency or Department who work in the areas of Web communications, management, design, and development. To ride the print run, you must forward your requisitions (SF-1s) to GPO no later than June 23, 2006.
PLEASE NOTE: GPO cannot provide agencies with the exact cost of the individual publication. The estimated Rider Rate for this publication is between $6 - $10 per copy. The cost agencies will pay is an actual production cost which varies greatly, depending upon the various specifications of the publication, especially the quantity. Individual unit cost can vary significantly, usually decreasing as the total quantity printed increases. Since we are unable to estimate the total number of copies that agencies will order, an accurate estimate is nearly impossible to gauge.
Requisitions should be forwarded to Agency Publishing Services, Requisition Section, Stop CSA, U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, DC 20401, by June 23, 2006. Please be sure to indicate HHS Requisition # 6-01064 and GPO Jacket No. 324-992 on your requisition. Field or regional activities should coordinate their requirements with their Washington, DC, area headquarters’ printing officers before submitting any paperwork.
f you have any questions, please contact your GPO Agency Publishing Specialist or call Agency Publishing Services, Team 1 on 202-512-0319.
