The U.S. Department of Transportation is hosting a series of Aviation Consumer Forums for the general public
to help educate air travelers about their rights and responsibilities and to discuss the problems facing the air
transportation industry. This will be a great opportunity for members of the public to learn more about the air
travel environment and share with officials from the U.S. Department of Transportation as well as carrier and airport
representatives their air travel experiences as they relate to airline consumer matters (e.g. reservations, refunds,
frequent flyer issues, advertising).
Aviation security and safety issues will not be addressed. There is no fee to attend these forums.
NEW YORK AIR TRAVEL TOWN HALL MEETING
The New York Air Travel Town Hall Meeting will be the sponsored by the U.S. Department of Transportation. There will be brief presentations from representatives of the airline industry, airport authorities, airport associations, consumer advocacy groups, and government officials on aviation consumer matters.
