Tcl/Tk at NERSCTcl/Tk is a powerful scripting language and graphical toolkit found on many platforms: Windows PCs, Linux PCs, Macintoshes, Unix workstations, and NERSC supercomputers. TCL/TK version 8 has been built by NERSC to give users access to a current version of the shells and libraries. These are available by loading the tcltk module. (Note that the modules feature, itself, is implemented with an embedded Tcl interpretor.) However, certain warnings and caveats apply. These newer versions do not pass all the associated tests. They do appear to pass most of the basic functionality tests. However, anything involving sockets fails, and other tests that assume certain word sizes also fail.
