Community Tobacco Cessation Partnership Community Tobacco Cessation Partnership

The Community Tobacco Cessation Partnership provides trainings on Best Practice Guidelines in Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence as defined by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.  Ongoing support includes technical assistance, nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), and cessation education materials.  Organizations within the Partnership serve populations who have the highest prevalence of smoking in King County. The Partnership will utilize these key strategies to reduce prevalence of tobacco use and health disparities caused by tobacco:

  • Promote systems change
  • Change social norms
  • Provide and promote access to treatment
  • Promotion of the Washington State Quitline

Public Health-Seattle & King County Tobacco Prevention provides professional trainings to help you – implement a comprehensive tobacco treatment component at health care faculty (primary care, family planning, dental, mental health, pharmacy), understand the tobacco issue in general, implement smoke free policy for your business or facility, help employees quit smoking, mitigate smoking issues in public housing, understand the new tobacco laws, secondhand smoke.
