User Registration

All users coming to the NSLS to work on a beamline must have an active appointment with Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) which requires on-line registration and approval. Please note that guests, visitors, and users who do not have approval prior to arrival (and foreign national users with expired passport or INS documents) will not be allowed on BNL property. If you have any questions, contact the NSLS User Administration Office at 631-344-USER (8737).

Registration for New Users and Users with Expired Appointments:

The minimum time required to process your registration prior to your planned arrival:

• Foreign nationals from non-sensitive countries: 30 days
• Foreign nationals from sensitive countries: 60-90 days
• Citizens of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria: 120-180 days
