NURP black smoker video to appear on Canadian
news program

The Canadian program Eureka dedicated a show to educate
the public about science and water. It features video (courtesy
of Bill Chadwick, Oregon State University, NOAA's Vents Program,
and NOAA's Undersea Research Program) of black smoker chimneys taken
in 2005 at the South Cleft segment of the Juan de Fuca Ridge. The
scientific news program is provided in French and can be seen at:

NURP-funded three dives to recover and service sensors deployed
at South Cleft and Axial Seamount for Bill Chadwick of Oregon State
University and was part of a larger expedition to explore, map,
survey, and collect samples at Juan de Fuca Ridge, Axial Seamount,
South Cleft and the Blanco Transform Fault.
