Update
The Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) is the legislation that authorizes all highway and transit funding in the United States. The Task Force has submitted comments and met directly with Department of Transportation (DOT) staff to discuss issues of importance to people with disabilities as they develop their guidance on these programs. The Task Force is also submitting comments requested by DOT regarding clarification of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations as they pertain to transportation.
