Workshops for Emergency Responders and Planners

NOAA offers workshops on a space-available basis to spill response professionals in local, state, and federal governments and industry.

NOAA's 3-day Environmental Spill Response Workshop has been renamed the Science of Oil Spills (SOS) Workshop. This workshop focuses on the scientific basis for evaluating environmental risks during spills and making decisions to optimize environmental recovery. Basic spill response techniques will be reviewed and pre-work is required. See the link SOS Workshops, below, for more information.

In addition, NOAA will offer short workshops (on an as-needed basis) on topics such as computer modeling, or special response or resource topics.
