Long Carbon Nanotube Arrays for Fiber Spinning
Abstract
This invention describes the synthesis of long carbon nanotube arrays suitable for spinning into ultra strong fibers.
Application(s)
These CNT arrays can be readily spun into high strength fibers for use in many structural applicatons.
Advantages
The carbon nanotubes grown by this method are longer than available currently, making them much more amenable to a spinning process.
