Research at the NWFSC
A Science Directorate oversees six Divisions, five of which focus on specialized areas of scientific research. Each division's programs, teams and staff are described in this section.
A list of all the research programs at the Center. Generally speaking, programs administered by the divisions focus on narrower areas of research within a division's specialty. Researchers work in teams within programs on various research projects and studies.
The Center supports collaborative research efforts within the Center as well as partnerships with outside organizations.

The NWFSC headquarters is located at the Montlake facility in Seattle. Five research stations
in Washington and Oregon support the Center's efforts to fulfill NOAA
fisheries' mission.
The NWFSC has several small vessels for conducting studies
and uses several NOAA vessels as well as privately chartered vessels
and academic research ships.
