In the Spotlight !

NPOESS Preparatory Project (NPP) Satellite being constucted for NASA by Ball Aerospace in Boulder, CO. NPP, is scheduled to launch October 31, 2006. NPP is a risk reduction effort for NPOESS.

 


2004 Announcements:

The NOAA - David Johnson Award is presented by the National Space Club, in honor of the first Administrator of what was to become the National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS). This award is given to young professionals who have developed an innovative use of Earth observation satellite data. Note: Award Nomination Deadline was December 1, 2004

A standing room only crowd attended the American Meteorological Society's full day Presidential Symposium on the Advances of Environmental Remote Sensing - The National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS) on Tuesday, January 13 in Seattle, WA. - view the NPOESS homepage.
