Phase III (1810-F)

This Phase III final rule (72 FR 51012) published in the Federal Register on September 5, 2007 is effective December 4, 2007.  This final rule is the third phase of a final rulemaking amending our regulations regarding the physician self-referral prohibition in section 1877 of the Social Security Act.  It finalizes, and responds to public comments regarding, the Phase II interim final rule with comment period (69 FR 16054).

Phase III Notice of Delay of Effective Date for Certain Provisions (CMS-1810-F2)

This final rule (72 FR 64161) published in the Federal Register on November 15, 2007, became effective immediately upon publication.  This final rule delays until December 4, 2008, the "stand in the shoes" provisions made final in the Phase III final rule (published September 5, 2007) in §411.354(c)(1)(ii), §411.354(c)(2)(iv), and §411.354(c)(3) with respect to certain compensation arrangements.

Phase III Technical Corrections Notice (CMS-1810-CN2)
This technical correction notice (72 FR 68075) published in the Federal Register on December 4, 2007 makes non-substantive technical corrections to CMS-1810-F, which was published on September 5, 2007 and is effective December 4, 2007.
