New Americans Project Seeks to
Encourage Volunteerism Among
U.S. Citizens and Newcomers

The New Americans Project, an initiative of the Task Force on New Americans, encourages native-born citizens to help new immigrants settle in the United States, and new immigrants to participate in their communities by volunteering to help others.

In partnership with USA Freedom Corps, the New Americans Project help U.S. citizens find opportunities to teach an English class, teach American history and civics, or help an immigrant settle in his or her new community. Newcomers can search for volunteer opportunities in both English and Spanish to help them learn more about the community and life in the United States.
