Background
Karrie graduated from the University of Washington in 2002 with a B.S degree in Conservation Biology, Ecology and Evolution. She has been working for the Watershed Program since 2001.
Current Research
Most recently, Karrie is working on the Sauk River gathering temperature data, on the Olympic Peninsula assisting with collecting and pit-tagging juvenile coho, and on the Duwamish River helping to evaluate restoration opportunities. Karrie is responsible for field data collection, data entry, and database management for multiple field studies. Her research interests include investigating the effects of disturbances on fish populations and habitat, and evaluating the extent to which various habitat restoration methods aid recovery efforts. Karrie also assists with the organization and coordination of activities, scientific workshops, and meetings for the Watershed Program.
