Background
Bruce Jonasson started his career in electronics in 1981 with the United States Air Force. He has been with the NWFSC electronics shop since 1992, where he has mainly been involved in the development of PIT-tag-based tools and new detection applications. Bruce's past projects include work on a timed reference tag, a virtual timer tag, pass-by detection at Bonneville Dam, towed net detection and detection in fish ladders. He earned a B.S. in engineering from Northern Arizona University.

Current Research
As Lead Engineer, Bruce oversees the day-to-day operations of the electronics shop. His goal is to provide FE with the best electronics support possible. Bruce continues to work on new PIT-tag and radio-tracking applications.
