Background
Brad is a contract fish biolgist for the REUT physiology group. He is employed by UW Joint Institute for the Study of the Atmosphere and the Ocean Brad started out as an intern and has done a wide variety of work since coming to the Center. His experience includes field and laboratory work such as running proximate analysis, husbandry of salmonids, aquaculture engineering, fish husbandry, and feed making. Brad received a B.S. in Fisheries from the University of Washington.
Current Research
Brad conducts various nutritional, growth, and physiological experiments. He assists in research studies of salmonid reproductive physiology, and smolt photoperiod-growth manipulation. Additionally, he is responsible for husbandry, water quality, and operations of the hatchery facility; Brad's primary duties include operation and maintenance of the water-recirculation systems in the salmon culture facility.
