Background
Ronald Pearce graduated from Western Washington University with a B.A. in education and a B.S. in biology. He has worked in the EC Division since 1983. Using state-of-the-art gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS), Ron analyzes marine sediment and biota samples for pesticides, PCBs and hydrocarbons.

Current Research
Ron occupies a primary position in the Instrument laboratory, operating and maintaining the GC/MS systems. He also processes sample data from the GC/MS systems and assists in developing and improving instrumental methods.
