Background
Eric is a molecular biologist with the Center's DNA group. He has worked at the Center since 1995. Over the course of his career, Eric has conducted research in plant, animal, and bacteriological fields. Eric has a B.S. in microbiology and an M.S. in genetics.

Current Research
Eric has technical, biological, and administrative responsibilities. Eric helps provide lab-wide technical development and improvement using molecular biology tools. Current projects include modification of genetic sex determination and MHC assays for application in capillary electrophoresis. Eric also uses microsatellite and MHC markers to better understand salmon biology. Current projects include surveying differences in natural production between hatchery and wild coho salmon in Minter Creek, WA.
