Welcome to the Northwest Fisheries Science Center Point Adams Biological Research station. Located at the mouth of the Columbia River in Hammond, Oregon, "Point Adams" is one of five NOAA Fisheries research stations in the Pacific Northwest with headquarters in Seattle. The main facilities building at "Pt. Adams" is an historic Lifeboat Station dating back to 1939 and serves as "home base" for twenty-plus conservation minded biologists and support staff. Auxiliary buildings include a modern shop for performing maintenance, fabrication and repair work on Pt. Adams fleet of nineteen vessels, and several outbuildings for vessel and gear storage. Please peruse our website at your leisure to learn more about our staff, our mission, our facilities and resources, station based research projects, and past community outreach projects.
