Introduction
The U.S. Department of Energy and its National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) and the India Mission of the U.S. Agency for International Development are supporting Power Plant Summit 2008, which is being convened by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
Part of a major effort by CII to help Indian thermal power plants achieve world-class standards, the summit will provide a unique opportunity to meet India's most influential power and energy industry players through:
- Showcasing the most current services and state-of-the-art technologies offered by U.S. service providers for operation and maintenance performance improvement in thermal power plants
- One-on-one meetings with Indian power plant CEOs, other executives, plant management, and senior plant engineers
- Roundtable networking breakfasts featuring Q&A discussions on specialized topics
- One-on-one meetings with U.S. service providers
NETL is seeking to attract 20 U.S.-based service firms to participate in the summit and exposition to share their expertise in the focal areas below by presenting technical papers and showcasing their products and services. There are no registration or exposition fees for U.S. firms that participate through NETL.
