World Changers Post Project Celebration

Founded in 1990 and sponsored by the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, World Changers seeks to make a difference in the lives of those living in neighborhoods in cities throughout the nation by eliminating substandard housing.  It also gives youth an opportunity to impact neighborhoods through a hands-on mission experience.

The City of Chattanooga Department of Neighborhood Services, the Front Porch Alliance and the City of Chattanooga Office of Faith-Based Initiatives are the sponsors of the project.  Together, these entities have provided Community Development Block Grant funds along with other grants and resources totaling more than $60 thousand.  Other sponsors for the weeklong project are the Hamilton County Baptist Association and Brainerd Baptist Church.

All media are invited to visit the worksites today and the celebration tonight. To locate a project call Vanessa A. Jackson at (423) 425-3741 or Beth Trussell at 355-4093.
