Programs for Youth and Teens Continue Through July.

YOUTH SUMMER BASEBALL Program is up and running for ages 5 to 8. New program for younger ages that features co-ed "t-ball" for ages 5 & 6 and "coach pitch" softball for boys ages 7 & 8. Team competition is starting in early July and anyone interested in joining a team or forming a new one can call John Allen at 643-6069. The city provides shirts, caps, and start-up equipment. Children bring gloves and shoes. Cost: $20.00 per child.

Our Recreation Department is "Centered On Teens" and wants to partner with schools, churches, and other organizations that serve teens!

Just for TEENS THIS SUMMER:

Late Night Hoops Basketball League for Boys and Girls, 18 and U, and 15 and U, Friday and Saturday nights at Howard High School Gymnasium 6:00 pm to midnight. FREE and open to teams throughout the city. Sign up at the recreation centers or by calling Richard West at 643-6055

"Stop the Madness" Faith-based inner city program Call Scott bent at 290-8447. Special activities, field trips, sports, and leadership fun will be held at East Chattanooga, Eastdale, and Westside Recreation Centers on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday 6:00 - 9:00 pm. FREE and teens ages 13 - 17 are invited. Check it out!

First Things First "Connections" Sessions June 4 - 29 and July 9 - August 3 at all of the City's recreation centers. Fun program about dating and relationships, food, door prizes, outings, and more. Teen who participate can win a $500.00 "Back to School" Shopping Spree! Call: Deborah Gunn at 267-5383.

FREE SUPERVISED PLAYGROUND ACTIVITIES AT EASTSIDE ELEMENTARY

The City's Parks and Recreation Department is providing a FREE supervised activities program at the Eastside Elementary School Playground for children ages 6 to 12 everyday (weather permitting) from 10:00 am to Noon and 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

There will be games, crafts, sports, and special guests who will introduce new activities and enrichment opportunities to the children.
