The 5th Annual Firehouse Chili Cook-off at the Chattanooga Market is now history, and the returning champions still have something to brag about.  However, unlike last year, they did not win both awards.  Late this afternoon, Mayor Ron Littlefield presented the People's Choice award to the returning champions from Station 1.  Their team “No Hesitation” won the most votes with their award-winning “High Rise Chili.”

Fire Chief Wendell Rowe presented the Chef's Choice award to Station 19’s team “Hook ‘N Ladle,” which won top honors from a panel of local chef’s with its “Fully Involved” chili.  Holly Vaughn, district director with the local Muscular Dystrophy Association, said today's event raised $10,037.
