7.1 Authorization. The Secretary of the Interior is an ex
officio member of the National Capital Planning Commission (District of
Columbia Self-Government and Governmental Reorganization Act, Public Law
93-198, approved December 24, 1973, 87 Stat. 774).
7.2 Delegation. The Director, National Park Service (NPS) or
the Deputy Director, Support Services, NPS, is authorized to serve as the
Secretary’s first alternate on the National Capital Planning Commission.
7.3 Redelegation. This authority may be redelegated to the
Regional Director, National Capital Region, NPS; and in turn, to the Associate
Regional Director, Lands, Resources and Planning, National Capital Region, NPS. This authority may not be further
redelegated.
