Chapter 14: Land Management Programs

14.1 Weed Control Program. Assistant Secretaries are authorized to exercise the authority of the Secretary of the Interior pursuant to the Halogeton Glomeratus Control Act (66 Stat. 597; 7 U.S.C. 1651-1656) in the control of Halogeton on lands under the jurisdiction of the Department. This delegation will be carried out in accordance with policy spelled out in 609 DM 1.

14.2 Soil and Moisture Conservation. Assistant Secretaries are authorized to exercise the authority of the Secretary of the Interior pursuant to Section 6 of Reorganization Plan No. IV of 1940 (54 Stat. 1234; 5 U.S.C., Appendix) with respect to soil and moisture conservation operations conducted on lands under the jurisdiction of the Department. This delegation will be carried out in accordance with policy spelled out in 606 DM 1.
