This material is based on a classroom presentation developed by MSHA instructors. It is training material aimed at surface haulage accident prevention, and addresses several of the hazards that may arise in surface haulage operations at mines (both metal/nonmetal and coal). The material should be used for training purposes only. It is primarily designed for equipment operators, supervisors, and safety personnel at surface mines, and may also be beneficial for others who work at a surface mine. The full presentation may take about an hour and a half.
