Telephone access issues at the Houston Catastrophic Medical Operations Center (CMOC) have hindered local communications. However, the Texas Department of State Health Services reports that telephone service appears to be working again. Hospitals with any concerns about power, water supply or other issues should continue to follow the Incident Command System. All requests should first go to the Houston CMOC (cmoc@cityofhouston.net) or (713) 884-4408; if there is no response, requests can be elevated to the Disaster District Chairman level (832) 729-7389 and then, only if necessary, to the State Operations Center. To avoid confusion, please work through local channels first. The Texas Hospital Association will serve as a liaison where needed.
