  • NOAA David Johnson Award for Outstanding Innovative Use of Earth Observation Satellite Data

  • NPOESS Preparatory Project (NPP) Satellite being constucted for NASA by Ball Aerospace in Boulder, CO. NPP, is scheduled to launch October 31, 2006. NPP is a risk reduction effort for NPOESS.

  • Educational Module on Satellite and Orbits: NOAA's Satellite and Information Service has combined the talents of science teachers, rocket scientists, satellite designers, a technology writer, and a creative new-media producer to develop an introduction to satellites and the forces which determine their orbits, for grades 8-12. http://eic.ipo.noaa.gov/education/unit01.php
