TICKET SALES FOR POPULAR JAZZ SERIES EXCEED 10 YEAR RECORD
Limited Number of Tickets still available for last two Night Time Live
concerts
Lodi, Calif. (March 4, 2003) – Ticket sales for Lodi’s own Night Time Live Jazz Series have exceeded 10 year sales records by nearly 10 percent so far this season.
The first four shows of the popular cabaret-style concert series have shown an average increase of nearly 30 attendees over attendance at previous year’s concerts.
Marlo Kerner, the series’ producer attributes the success to both the quality of the acts he’s booked this year as well as an increase in marketing efforts: “It’s been a delightful season so far. I’ve been after a few of these performers for some time and we’ve finally been lucky enough to secure them for Night Time Live. Art Van Damme for instance, is a huge jazz legend, and once the word got out that he was coming here – well, we were easily able to sell out the first show of the season.”
Tea Silvestre, the City’s Arts Coordinator agrees, “The quality of the music we’ve presented so far has captured the attention of media throughout the region. It’s really helped us to spread the word on our limited marketing budget. This year for instance; we were able to attract Capital Public Radio as a major sponsor – something that has helped us promote not only our Night Time Live concerts, but has also been instrumental in raising the City’s profile, too.”
Sponsored by the Lodi Arts Project Fund in conjunction with the Lodi Arts Commission, remaining Night Time Live concerts are scheduled for Friday evenings March 14th and 28th, and will spotlight two very prominent jazz acts: Zydeco Flames and Viva Brasil.
Reserved seating is available at $20 per person or $10 per student (with valid ID); and interested parties are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time through the Hutchins Street Square Box Office at 209-333-5550. Limited preferred seating tickets are still available for $25 per person.
This year the concerts start slightly earlier. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for those wishing to enjoy a light supper before the show (a la carte menu items are reasonably priced), and shows begin at 7:30 p.m.
