The Lodi Police Department takes pride in announcing that Officer Eric Bradley received the California Hero Award by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Officer Bradley received this award in recognition of his outstanding efforts in combating drunk and drug impaired driving in our community.  He made 68 Driving Under the Influence arrests in 2002, and detected nine others that he turned over to special enforcement units.  Officer Bradley’s 68 arrests tops the Lodi Police Department’s previous best of 63, set by Officer Ernie Nies in 2001.

Officer Bradley joined the Lodi Police Department 2 ½ years ago.  He is assigned to the Day shift and patrols the Northwest District.  Having almost been the victim of a head on drunk driving accident, Officer Bradley takes great satisfaction in having removed 68 drunk drivers from the road.

The award was presented on April 15, 2003 in Sacramento, at a ceremony honoring California police officers and others who have contributed to the fight against DUI’s.  Nearly 400 people were present to honor recipients of the “California Hero Award”.
